သက်ပိုင်သည် ဘာသာစကားနှင့် စာပေကို စိတ်ဝင်စားသူဖြစ်ပြီး အလွတ်တန်း အင်္ဂလိပ်စာသင်ကြားသူလည်းဖြစ်သည်။

၂၀၁၈ ခုနှစ်တွင် The Global New Light of Myanmar အင်္ဂလိပ် သတင်းစာ၏ တနင်္ဂနွေ အချပ်ပို ကဏ္ဍ တက်သစ်စ စာရေးသူအစီအစဥ်၌ အင်္ဂလိပ်ဘာသာဖြင့် ဝတ္ထုတိုများ စတင် ရေးသားခဲ့ပြီး ၂၀၂၀ ပြည့်နှစ် ဇန်နဝါရီလမှ စတင်ကာ ပထမဆုံး ဘာသာပြန်စာအုပ်များကို ရေးသား ထုတ်ဝေနိုင်ခဲ့ရာ ယခုလက်ရှိတွင် ဘာသာပြန် ဝတ္ထု ဆယ်အုပ်(အတ္ထုပ္ပတ္ထိ နှစ်အုပ် အပါအဝင်) ကို ထုတ်ဝေခဲ့ပြီး ဖြစ်သည်။

ဂန္ထဝင်စာပေနှင့် သမိုင်းစာပေကို နှစ်သက်သူဖြစ်ပြီး ဆက်လက်၍ ဟုမ္မာ၏ အိလျဒ်နှင့် သြဒစ္ဆေမော်ကွန်းများ၊ ဒန္တေ၏ အစ္ဆရိယရကန်စကားပြေ နှင့် ဂေးလ်ဂမက်ရှ်၏ စွန့်စားခန်း ‌မော်ကွန်း‌ကျောက်စာများကို ဘာသာပြန်ရန် အားထုတ်လျက်ရှိကာ ပင်ကိုယ်ရေးဝတ္ထုများကိုလည်း ရေးသားလျက်ရှိသည်။

ဆရာကြီး ‌မောင်ထင်အောင်နှင့် ဆရာမကြီး ခင်နှင်းယုတို့ကို လေးစားအားကျသောကြောင့် နောင်တွင် ၎င်းတို့ကဲ့သို့ အင်္ဂလိပ်သာသာဖြင့် မြန်မာဝတ္ထုများကိုနိုင်ငံတကာ စာဖတ်သူများထံသို့ ကူးပြောင်းပေးနိုင်ရန် ဆန္ဒရှိသည်။

About the Author

Thet Paing is a literary practitioner and freelance English language educator with a profound passion for linguistics and classical prose. He first gained recognition in 2018 as a contributor to the "New Generation Platform" of The Global New Light of Myanmar, where he debuted his short stories in English.

Since launching his career as a translator in January 2020, Thet Paing has been prolific, publishing ten translated works to date, including two significant biographies.

Literary Vision

A devoted student of history and the classics, he is currently engaged in the ambitious task of translating world-renowned epics into Burmese, including:

• Homer’s The Iliad and The Odyssey

• Dante’s The Divine Comedy

• The Epic of Gilgamesh

Alongside his translation work, he continues to develop his voice as a novelist, crafting original fiction that explores the depths of the human experience.

Legacy & Ambition

Drawing inspiration from the literary giants Dr. Maung Htin Aung and Khin Hnin Yu, Thet Paing is committed to the cultural exchange of narratives. His long-term mission is to introduce the richness of Burmese storytelling to a global audience by translating native masterpieces into English.
